It is an increasingly important task by OEMs to make sure that their smartphone displays, especially the flagship offerings, are sufficiently protected. Corning has offered some pretty strong protection in this regard, with the Gorilla Glass Victus that was unveiled in 2020. The Gorilla Glass Victus has adorned the display of several flagship devices since its release.

Enter the Gorilla Glass Victus+ which is a strengthened successor to the Victus which will reportedly be featured in the Galaxy S22 lineup. All the three models in the S22 series will reportedly have the Gorilla Glass Victus+.

Tipster Ice Universe has said that the Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra will have the Gorilla Glass Victus+ either at the front or back. It is also possible to have the strengthened glass adorn both the front and back of the devices. The Galaxy S21 and S21+ both had a plastic back although the Galaxy S21+ had the Victus on both sides.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra will certainly have more nuanced features than the other two models and tips Ice Universe says it will come with what was termed super clear glass in the leaked specs sheet. The reinforced glass will help to reduce reflection and glare in the device.

There are speculated color variants for the S22 and S22+ including pink gold, green, black and white, while the Ultra could be available in Burgundy, green, black, and white colors. As the unveiling of the Galaxy S22 series inches closer, it will continue to be a subject of much speculation and leaks.
