Samsung Galaxy S22 series has received the latest April 2023 security update in the US. The update comes with firmware version S90xU1UES2CWCC and is intended for the unlocked versions of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. The update fixes 64 security flaws found in Galaxy devices, making the phones more secure. It may also come with general bug fixes and stability improvements.

Users with unlocked Galaxy S22 devices in the US can download the update by going to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and Install. Alternatively, they can download the new firmware file from Samsung’s firmware database and flash it manually using the Odin tool via a Windows PC.

Samsung released the Galaxy S22 series last year, equipped with Android 12. Since their release, the phones have received monthly security updates, and in late 2022, they received the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update. Recently, they also received the One UI 5.1 update, which added more software features.

The April 2023 security update first arrived in South Korea and then expanded to Europe and other parts of the world before reaching the US. Users in other regions can expect to receive the update in the coming weeks.
