The Portronics Vayu portable tyre inflator has been unveiled in India for Rs. 2,899 (~$39). The device is a handy technology that will save motorists and riders the hassle of having their tyres inflated at the gas station. It also proves handy as a worthy addition to a motorist’s toolbox. The new device will come with a 12-month warranty.
The Portronics Vayu can be used to inflate tyres of vehicles, motorcycles, or even a ball. It comes with multiple nozzles of different sizes and functionality and it is based on a Presta Valve adapter. Its accompanying LED display will notify the user of key details about the item being inflated. A 4000mAh battery provides power for the Vayu and it outputs 50W power.
The Portronics Vayu has four modes – Car, Motorcycle, Bicycle, and Ball modes, which means it is adjustable to suit any of the scenarios snugly. It is capable of inflating the tyres of a standard car in under 9 minutes. The Vayu can be charged via USB-C and it can inflate up to 150 psi according to the company. Vayu can autodetect the pressure while pumping the tyre and stop when it reaches the limit, although users can also manually accomplish the inflation process. The Portronics Vayu is available via Flipkart in India and the company’s official website, as well as offline outlets.
