Similar to the last generation models, the new launches would also include at least 120Hz variable refresh rate support as well. Notably, the Galaxy S22 Ultra variant will be slightly more defined this year. By this we mean that its design will stand out from the vanilla and Plus models. It has straight edge corners similar to the classic Note series, along with support for S Pen stylus that will be housed within the smartphone’s body. The model will also no longer be featuring the large camera island module, rather, the lenses protrude directly from the rear panel.

Cameras

Talking about the Galaxy S22 and S22+ first, the two models feature a triple camera module on the rear. This comprises of a 50 megapixel primary sensor, paired with a 12 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a 10 megapixel telephoto sensor that offers at least 3x optical zoom. On the front, both smartphones will also feature a 10 megapixel selfie camera housed in a punch hole cutout.

Specifications

Being a premium grade flagship series, the Galaxy S22 series is set to feature Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC or its in house Exynos 2200 chipset. Storage configurations may include a 128GB and 256GB variants. Similarly, the Ultra will also arrive in the same RAM and storage configurations, but its capacity is believed to top out at 512GB.
