Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer NIO has released its output figures for January 2022.  According to a press release circulated today, the company delivered 9,652 electric vehicles which reflected a 33.6% increase when compared to January 2021.

The breakdown of the 9,652 deliveries shows that 1,531 ES8 were delivered in January. The company delivered 5,247 ES6 models in the same month and the EC6 coup accounted for 2,874 deliveries. The ES8 is NIO’s flagship premium smart electric SUV. It has both a six-seater and seven-seater model. The ES6 is a five-seater high-performance smart electric SUV, while the EC6 is a five-seater coupe SUV.

The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer says the total cumulative deliveries of the three models have reached 176,722 as of the end of January 2022.

Additionally, the company also deployed its first firmware over-the-air update for NIO vehicles’ smart operating systems outside China. The Aspen 3.0.5 NO is released for Norway and brings 199 new features and 401 enhancements to the smart operating system based on NIO Technology Platform 1.0 (NT1.0).

NIO has also revealed updates on its power, sales and service network. As of January 31, 2022, NIO has built 836 Power Swap stations, 3,766 Power Chargers, and 3,656 destination chargers across China. The company has also opened 55 NIO Service Centers and 180 authorized service centers in the country.
