iQOO recently confirmed that it will be launching the iQOO 9 SE smartphone with iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro in India soon. The Pro model has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, the vanilla model features the Snapdragon 888 Plus, whereas the SE model is driven by the Snapdragon 888. A few details of iQOO 9 SE are already known. It appears that the SE model could be a rebranded version of an iQOO phone, which was announced in December 2021 in China.

It is known that the iQOO 9 SE will come equipped with a 6.62-inch AMOLED panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution. It features a triple camera unit, but its details are not known yet. It is likely to arrive with a starting price of Rs 35,000 (~$469).

The iQOO 9 SE will be an affordable flagship phone from the brand. This indicates it will be arriving to compete with the OnePlus 9RT, Xiaomi 11T Pro, and Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G. The above-mentioned specs suggest that the iQOO 9 SE could be a rebadged version of the iQOO Neo 5 SE, which was announced with iQOO Neo 5S in December 2021.

iQOO Neo 5S specifications

The iQOO Neo 5S has a 6.62-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display with a punch-hole design. It runs on OriginOS Ocean based Android 11. It has a front camera of 16-megapixel, and it has an OIS-ready 48-megapixel (main) + 13-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) camera unit.

As far as the other iQOO 9 series smartphones are concerned, the iQOO 9 could be a rebadged version of China’s iQOO 8, whereas the iQOO 9 Pro will be the same model that was announced in January 2021.
