Xiaomi has finally started seeding the latest version of its custom Android interface to budget offerings. Dubbed MIUI 13, the skin may either be based on Android 12 or even on Android 11 on some older models. The Redmi 10, fortunately, has got the Android 12-based version and can finally enjoy all of the MIUI 13 goodies including the widget ecosystem.

The update carries firmware version V13.0.1.0.SKUMIXM and is rolling out to the “Global” region. The full ROM is sized 2.7GB and comes with the January security patch. Being marked as a “stable beta” means that it is yet to roll out widely, but once declared bug-free, more users should be getting it.

Along with the latest Android and MIUI versions, the build also carries a couple of optimizations for system apps paired with “improved overall stability.”

The changelog does not mention all of the changes that MIUI 13 brings forward though and you should also be seeing some new wallpapers.

The Redmi 10 is a fairly recent release, being launched in August 2021, and has become of the first budget offerings to run MIUI 13 stable outside of China. It first booted into MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11.
