Xiaomi is apparently gearing up to announce a new budget smartphone. A new listing on the FCC (Federal Communications Commissions) certification website has revealed that the company is working on a Redmi 10C.
The handset appears to be a entry level device that has the model number 220333QNY. According to a MySmartPrice report, the smartphone’s IMEI database listing confirms that this model number is for the upcoming Redmi 10C. Apart from its name, the certification website also reveals some other details regarding the Chinese tech giant’s new phone as well. The device will run on the brand’s MIUI 13 custom skin, which is likely based on Android 12.
Notably, the Indian version of this Redmi smartphone has also cleared BIS certifications, with a model number of 220333QBI. Previously, the smartphone maker had launched the Redmi 9C as the Redmi 9 in India. In other words, we might see a similar case with the Redmi 220333QBI, which could be the Redmi 10 for the Indian market. While the listing does not reveal any specifications, the 9C launched with a 6.53 inch HD+ LCD display, MediaTek Helio G35, a triple camera sensor, and more.
These are some entry level specifications, so we can expect the 10C to rock similar features. Keep in mind that this is still just speculation at the moment, so take this report with a pinch of salt. But stick around for more, as we will be providing updates when additional information is available regarding this smartphone.
