POCO F3 GT’s successor is confirmed to launch in India in the first half of 2022. To recollect, the F3 GT was a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. Hence, the rumor mill believes that the Redmi K50G (aka RedmI K50 Gaming Edition) will be rebranded as the POCO F4 GT in India. Now, new proof has appeared to claim that the F4 GT will indeed be a rebadged version of the RedmI K50G.

Shown below is a screengrab of the Mi code shared by Xiaomiui. It has claimed based on the finding that the Redmi K50G will launch as the POCO F4 GT in India and global markets. Apart from announcing the F4 GT, POCO is expected to soon launch other phones like the POCO X4 series and POCO C4 in the first half of 2022 in India and other markets.

The Redmi K50G has a 6.67-inch OLED FHD+ 120Hz display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,700mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. It has a 20-megapixel Sony IMX596 front camera, and a 64-megapixel (Sony IMX686) + 13-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. It comes with other features gaming trigger buttons, a side-facing fingerprint scanner, and MIUI 13 flavored Android 12.

Companies like Realme, iQOO, Motorola, and Xiaomi are soon going to launch Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered handsets in India. POCO India country head Anuj Sharma has confirmed that the F3 GT’s successor will be priced under Rs 50,000 (~$666), which indicates that the F4 GT could be arriving as the most affordable SD8G1 phone in India and global markets.
