Google launched the current-generation flagship smartphones — Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro towards the end of last year, becoming the first devices from the company to come powered by its own Tensor processor.

Now, the company is gearing up to launch the successor — Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro and there have been a few leaks related to the upcoming flagship smartphones. In the latest leak, the launch timeline for the devices has been revealed.

Google Pixel 7 Renders

If the latest reports are to be believed, then the Google Pixel 7 series smartphones could launch earlier than its usual timeframe. It is being speculated that the phones could launch sometime in September, a bit earlier than its usual launch in October.

The upcoming phones are about a month ahead of the Pixel 6 series scheduled, leading to the speculation of their early arrival into the market. However, there’s also a possibility that the company could use the extra time to fine-tune the product.

The Pixel 7 is expected to have a 6.3-inch display while the ultra-premium Pixel 7 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch display. The Pro model is said to have support for a 120Hz refresh rate and the screen will use the LTPO panel.

On the other hand, the regular Pixel 7 is said to have a non-LTPO display and offer a 90Hz screen refresh rate. The phone will be smaller and thinner compared to the current-generation Pixel 6, which could mean a slightly smaller battery.

Internally, the devices will come powered by the company’s own processor, which will be a successor to the Google Tensor SoC. Recently, renders of the upcoming Google Pixel 7 were leaked online, showcasing that the design of the phone remains unchanged but there will be some minor improvements.
