Redmi will be holding its next launch event on March 17 in China. Several tipsters have claimed that Xiaomi’s sub-brand will launch three models, such as the Redmi K50, K50 Pro, and K50 Pro+ on the said date. However, a fresh leak by Chinese tipster Bald is Panda claims that the Redmi phones that are going to launch on March 17 are the Redmi K40S, Redmi K50, and Redmi K50 Pro.
According to the tipster, the Redmi K40S will be fueled by the Snapdragon 870. This model will offer users a 6.67-inch AMOLED E4 screen, and it will be packed with a 4,500mAh battery. The handset will come with support for 67W fast charging. To recall, this device was previously speculated to launch as the Redmi K50. Based on previous reports, the device will come in variants such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage.
The tipster further claimed that the Redmi K50 will be powered by the Dimensity 8100 chipset. The K50 will come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED E4 display that offers a Quad HD+ resolution. The device will pack a 5,500mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. This model was previously expected to debut as the K50 Pro. It may come in models such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. Its rear side may feature a 108-megapixel triple camera unit.
The Redmi K50 Pro will arrive with the Dimensity 9000 chipset onboard. It will offer users a 6.67-inch AMOLED E4 screen that produces a QHD+ resolution. The device could be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with faster 120W charging. This model was previously speculated to debut as the K50 Pro+. It is expected to arrive in configuration such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. Its rear shell is likely to feature an OIS-enabled 108-megapixel triple camera unit.
