Yesterday, Motorola officially launched the Moto Edge X30 Under Screen Camera Edition in China as scheduled. As the name suggests, the smartphone’s front-facing camera is housed underneath its display. The device was first teased in December at the Moto Edge X30 launch event.

The newly released Moto Edge X30 Under Screen Camera Edition is the same as the Moto Edge X30. The only difference is that its 60MP selfie camera is nested below the display.

The phone arrives in a single 12GB + 256GB memory configuration. It is priced at ¥3,999 ($630). But for a limited time, it will be sold at a discounted price tag of ¥3,499 ($551). The handset is already up for pre-order in China. It will be available for purchase starting March 30.

At the same time, Motorola has also dropped the price of the regular Moto Edge X30 by ¥400. Hence, it now costs ¥2,799 ($441), ¥2,999 ($472), and ¥3,199 ($504) for 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB memory variants respectively.

The device was already the most affordable smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. With the price cut, it has now become even cheaper.

The same phone is sold as Motorola Edge Plus (2022) in the US and Motorola Edge 30 Pro in other international markets. Though it offers the exact set of features, it costs way more in these markets. For example, it is priced at $999.99 in the US and ₹49,999 in India.
