In December 2021, Indian startup OBEN EV unveiled its first electric bike designed and developed by Bengaluru couple Dinkar and Madhumita Agarwal. The electric bike developed by the start-up has already garnered 16 patented innovations and has begun testing on select roads. Oben Rorr electric motorcycle promises to be a powerful machine as it packs a 4.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and the drivechain is a 10 kW electric motor. The e-bike has a peak torque of 62 Nm and is capable of doing 0-40 km/h in just 3 seconds. The e-bike has a top speed of 100km/h but that can be adjusted to fit into three riding modes – Eco, City, and Havoc.Oben Rorr electric motorcycle

One interesting feature which will make the Oben Rorr EV stand out among its peers is the maximum range it can go on a single charge – a staggering 200km! Tha is almost twice the range of most e-bikes with the same engine capacity. Even if you run out of battery power, the electric motorcycle can be fully charged in about 2 hours.

Aesthetically, the Oben Rorr is a marvel, sporting a rugged, yet sleek design that will sure turn heads when it cruises past them on the road. The e-bike is fitted with a circular all-LED headlamp with LED DRLs. The turn indicators and taillamp are also LED lamps. The bike’s instrument cluster is an all-digital affair.

In terms of pricing and availability, the Oben Rorr electric motorcycle will retail for Rs 99,999 (~$1,315) in Maharashtra. However, the price is slightly higher in six other cities where it will also go on sale. The Rorr is expected to start shipping in July, 2002.
