The South Korean electronics giant introduced the Galaxy A52s 5G in India in two memory variants. The 6GB + 128GB and the 8GB + 128GB versions of the handset debuted at ₹35,999 and ₹37,999 respectively.

According to SamMobile, Samsung has now dropped the price of both these variants by ₹5,000. Hence, they now retail at ₹30,999 and ₹32,499. The new price is applicable to all the channels, however, retailers may offer additional discounts of their own as well.

Thanks to the price cut, the Galaxy A52s 5G is now cheaper than the newly released Galaxy A53 5G in India. For those unaware, the newer model costs ₹34,499 and ₹35,999 for for 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB memory configurations respectively.

Though the Galaxy A53 5G is the latest smartphone of the two, it neither has a powerful chipset nor a 3.5mm headphone jack. However, it does come with Android 12 out of the box and is guaranteed to receive four more Android updates.

On the other hand, the Galaxy A52s 5G houses a powerful chipset and a 3.5mm headphone jack. But unfortunately, it launched with Android 11 and has already received one of its three promised Android updates. Hence, it will get two fewer Android updates and existing users are already facing multiple issues after the Android 12 update.
