Xiaomi has announced the MIJIA Smart Hot and Cold Water Dispenser in China. The gadget will be sold under crowdfunding and it will commence on April 6. While the water dispenser carries an affordable retail price tag of 599 yuan (~$94), the product will be available during the crowdfunding exercise for 549 yuan (~$86).
The MIJIA Smart Hot and Cold Water Dispenser keeps up with the minimalist white design for which Xiaomi’s MIJIA products are known. The device features an LCD screen and supports intelligent digital display function. The gadget packs a water storage bucket at the back and the water level can be observed from the transparent vertical line, which is convenient for adding water in time.
The major difference between this product and the regular instant hot water dispenser is this new product also provides cold water making it a useful product both in winter and summer seasons. 
Not long ago, Xiaomi also launched the Mijia Desktop Drinking Machine Hot and Cold Version. This version has three functions. It can chill or warm water and also filters the water before dispensing. The top-end desktop drinking machine is capable of handling 5°C iced water with one click, and can supply hot water in 3 seconds.
The filtration function is missing in this new model but considering the price, that feature won’t likely be missed.
