Motorola took wraps off the Moto G22 at the beginning of March. A few days back, a report revealed that the handset will debut in India this week. Following that, the device’s official online retailer has now confirmed the launch date for the phone in the country.
Flipkart has disclosed that the Motorola Moto G22 will launch in India on April 8. The teaser page for the smartphone does not say the time of the announcement. But going by Motorola’s launch history in the country, the device will likely go official at 12 PM.
The retailer has also revealed all the features of the handset. Anyway, we already know them as the device went official a month ago.
The Moto G22 has a 6.5-inch centered punch-hole HD+ display (LCD) with up to a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G37 SoC and boots Android 12 with 3 years of assured security updates.
The phone houses a quad-camera setup on the rear. The system includes a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, a 2MP macro snapper, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it uses a 16MP shooter that resides inside the punch-hole.
The smartphone is splash resistant and features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery and the Indian variant will arrive with 20W fast charging instead of 15W.
We are not sure at what price Motorola will sell the Moto G22 in India. But we think that it could cost between ₹10,000 and ₹15,000.
