Redmi has a lineup of budget and premium routers and the company is now set to start selling the new Redmi AX6000 router in its home market China. While the product is priced at 499 yuan, it will be available at a discounted price of 489 yuan (~$77) for the first sale.

The launch of this new router from the company comes just a few days after it had launched the Redmi AX5400 router in China. It appears that the AX6000 has been launched by the company as a successor to the AX3000 that was launched last year.

Redmi AX6000 Router

The Redmi AX6000 router comes with an eight data stream design and has support for a 160MHz bandwidth and 6000-megabit wireless speed. Compared to the AX3000, it offers double the speed while the coverage distance has been increased by 40 percent.

The launch of this new router also marks the first router from the Redmi brand to come with an 8-channel signal amplifier. Under the hood, it is powered by MediaTek Filogic 830 quad-core processor with a single core frequency of 2GHz.

It packs 512GB of RAM and supports the connection of up to 248 devices at the same time. There’s are four adaptive network ports and it also supports LAN port aggregation and can also set the network as an IPTV port. Similar to other Xiaomi and Redmi products, this one too can be easily configured and managed through the mobile application.
