A few days ago, Honor announced its new Play-series smartphones — Honor Play 6T and Honor Play 6T Pro. Today, the company has officially started selling the Play 6T Pro smartphones in the Chinese market.
The base model of the Honor Play 6T Pro with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage is priced at 1,399 yuan (~$220) while the model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs 1,599 yuan which is about $251. It is being offered in three color options — Titanium Silver, Midnight Black, and Rose Gold.
As for the specifications, the smartphone features a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display that offers 1080 x 2388 pixels screen resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 93.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor and packs up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
In the camera department, the phone features a dual-camera setup on the back that includes a 48-megapixel AI primary sensor which uses a 1/2-inch outsole and has a single pixel size of 0.8um, and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front side, the device has an 8-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.
It runs the Android 11 operating system out of the box with the company’s own Magic UI 5.0 custom user interface on top. The device is powered by a 4,000mAh battery that supports 40W super-fast charging.
There’s also an Honor Play 6T smartphone that has a starting price of 1,199 yuan (~$188) which will be available for purchase in China from 15th April.
