Recent reports have claimed that Realme is planning to launch the Realme Q5 series of smartphones in China. Today, the company confirmed that it will be holding a launch event at 2 pm (local time) on April 20 to announce the Realme Q5 lineup.

While there is no official confirmation yet, Realme is expected to announce two models, namely the Realme Q5 and Realme Q5 Pro. The company is expected to confirm the names of the Realme Q5 models in the next few days before the launch. A couple of new Realme phones such as RMX3372, RMX3574, RMX3571, and RMX3575/6 have been certified by the TENAA authority of China recently.

It appears that the RMX3372 device may debut as the Realme Q5 Pro in the home market. The device is equipped with a 6.62-inch AMOLED screen that offers an FHD+ resolution. It has a 16-megapixel front camera and a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple rear cameras.

The device is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset. It may come with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage. It packs a 5,000mAh battery, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, and a microSD card slot for additional storage. It is expected to arrive in three colors such as Mirror Black, Dream Blue, and Super Orange.

It is likely that the RMX3574 handset may arrive in the home market with the Realme Q5 or Q5i name. It has a 6.58-inch IPS FHD+ display, an 8-megapixel front camera, a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera system, a 2.4GHz octa-core processor, 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of built-in storage, and a 5,000mAh battery.
