Earlier today (14th April 2022), the reservations for the OnePlus Ace went live in the company’s home market of China. The smartphone’s launch is just around the corner, and bookings are now open.
The Chinese smartphone maker had just recently confirmed the launch date for the upcoming Ace, which will be announced on April 21 in China. Interestingly, prior to the launch of the device, the founder of the brand, Pete Lau, shared his thoughts regarding the new device. The official claimed that the Ace is the best phone to feature the Dimensity 8100 processor. For those unaware, this chip is based on the 5nm process tech from TSMC and is one of the latest current gen SoCs from MediaTek.
Notably, the Ace model will likely be rebranded as the OnePlus 10R for the Indian market, so they should feature identical specifications. From what we know so far, the Ace will sport a 6.7 inch AMOLED display that has an FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and an in display fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, a large 4,500mAh battery pack will power the device, along with support for a whopping 150W fast charging.
The front is expected to feature a 16 megapixel selfie shooter while the rear consists of a triple camera setup. This will include a 50 megapixel primary sensor. The device will also likely boot Android 12 OS out of the box and offer up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The device’s reservations are currently like on major e-commerce websites in China, so stick around as we will be covering the launch event.
