Motorola recently released the stable Android 12 update for the Motorola Edge 20 Pro. Now, it’s time for the Motorola Edge (2021) and Motorola Edge Plus. Both phones are getting the taste of Android 12 OS in select regions.
The Android 12 stable update for the Motorola Edge (2021) carries the firmware version S1RM32.48-18-11. The update is specifically for the Edge (2021) with model number XT21411-2-SS. It is way over 1GB in size and includes the March 2022 security patch. As of now, the update is reaching devices in the US, but we should see a wider release in the coming weeks.
The Motorola Edge Plus users with model number XT2061-3-SS are getting the Android 12 stable update. The update is live in the European regions at the moment. The update has the firmware version S1PB32.41.10-17 and is sized at 1.45GB.
Those who own these devices and are living in the aforementioned regions should have received the OTA update notification. If not, you can check for updates manually by going to Settings > System > Advanced > System Updates.
If you still don’t see the update, do wait for some time as it is a staged update, meaning that it will arrive slowly on a batch-by-batch basis. As to what’s changed, users will get all the Android 12 features like Material You design, Privacy Dashboard, redesigned notification panel, and more.
