ZTE is all set to officially unveil the next-generation flagship smartphones under the Axon lineup in the form of Axon 40, Axon 40 Pro, and Axon 40 Ultra on 9th May in China.

Ahead of the official launch next week, the company has been teasing the key features of the devices. In the latest teaser poster, ZTE has revealed the specifications related to the display panel used in the upcoming phones.

The company has confirmed that the Axon 40 series smartphones come with a display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz multi-touch sampling rate. Further, it is also revealed that the phones will have support for IR remote control functions.

Recently, the Chinese company confirmed that the smartphones will come equipped with an independent security chip for hardware-level protection. In the camera department, the Axon 40 Pro will feature a 100-megapixel camera setup.

The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra smartphone was listed on a Chinese retailer and the listing had a render of the smartphone, giving us a clear look at the phone’s front panel and back panel for the first time since leaks and rumors started surfacing online.

It was previously revealed that the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra will have a triple-camera setup with a 64MP Sony IMX787 primary sensor, a 64MP ultra-wide OmniVision OV64GB sensor, and a 64MP OmniVision OV64GB telephoto lens.

Earlier, it was confirmed that the Axon 40 series will come with next-generation stereo speakers that could provide an out-of-this-world audio experience. The devices also have support for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sound and dtsX Ultrasound technology.

The Axon 40 lineup will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. It will also come with an under-display camera setup and an almost bezel-less display panel. We expect the company to confirm more details through teaser posters in the coming days.
