A new iQOO Z5 series phone is expected to launch in China soon. The information comes from tipster Digital Chat Station who also reveals key details of the upcoming phone. The Vivo sub-brand already offers iQOO Z5 and Z5x in its home market. Additionally, iQOO has also launched the iQOO Z6 Pro 5G and Z6 smartphones in India recently.

It’s unclear what the upcoming iQOO Z5-series device will be called. However, it could be dubbed the iQOO Z5 Pro 5G.

According to the tipster, the new iQOO Z5 smartphone will feature a 6.58-inch LCD display bearing an FHD+ resolution. Since it’s an LCD panel, we can expect a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The smartphone will reportedly be powered by a huge 6,000mAh battery and it will support for 44W charging speed. Due to a big battery, the device is said to measure 9.21mm in thickness. The source also claimed that the mysterious iQOO Z5 series phone will likely be powered by a processor that is competitive to the MediaTek’s Dimensity 8000 processor. The latter consists of an octa-core CPU with four cores ticking at 2.75GHz.

This is everything we know about the new iQOO Z5 for now. We can expect more information about the smartphone to crop up in the coming weeks.

In other news, a Vivo phone with model number V2188A was spotted on TENAA certification last month. The listing reveals the same specifications and corroborates the information shared by Digital Chat Station. It’s a possibility that the Vivo V2188A could be the upcoming iQOO Z5 series phone.
