The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 were considered a massive success for Samsung, as well as for the foldables market in 2021. The series not only generated a lot of public attention outside of the tech enthusiast circle, but the foldable lineup also broke pre-order records and sales records of all time globally for foldables.
Despite the high praise and love given to the Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3, many users did have one glaring complaint with the devices, which was the phones’ endurance. The comment especially rings true for the Z Flip 3 as the device was only equipped with a 3300mAh battery and 15W charging, which was substantially slower than the common 25W fast charging found even on Samsung mid-rangers like the Samsung Galaxy A52.
But it seems that Samsung has finally taken customer feedback to heart, as a recent electronics certification in China confirms that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, the successor to the Galaxy Z Flip 3, will finally include support for faster 25W charging!
The data was extracted from the China 3C Consumer Safety Certification database, where it is revealed that two models of Samsung foldables are scheduled to arrive in the Chinese market later this year. The two models, in particular, bear the model numbers SM-F9360 and SM-F7210, which are respectively the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4.
The listing reveals that both models will be made in Vietnam, will include 5G connectivity and most important of all, both models are confirmed to have 25W fast charging support. This news comes as a delight for those who held off buying the Z Flip 3 because with higher 25W charging, when you run low on battery, you need not wait too long to get your Z Flip 4 charged to start running errands throughout the day again.
Unfortunately, those are the only info revealed by the Chinese 3C certification listing. But since the device has been officially certified, we expect that more leaks and rumours regarding the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 will arrive soon!
