POCO F4 Indian variant appeared on the IMEI database of the GSM Association, as per a tipster. The new development comes just a day after the first sale of POCO M4 Pro 5G in India. It is speculated that the upcoming POCO phone is nothing but a rebranded K40S.

Tipster Mukul Sharma, who goes by the username @stufflistings on Twitter, spotted the POCO F4 Indian variant listing on the IMEI database. He shared the screenshot of the listing which indicates that although the database does not directly mention the name of the device, it does carry model number 220212111RI which is believed to be associated with the upcoming POCO F4.

The model number includes the letter ‘I’ which suggests that the smartphone is for the Indian market. This hints that POCO F4 would soon make its way to India.

POCO has been a massive success for Xiaomi. In just 4 years, the brand has marked a significant presence in India. The Xiaomi sub-brand was known for offering top-of-the-line specifications at an affordable price. However, POCO appears to have copied moves from OnePlus’ playbook. The brand is focusing more on rebranding rather than innovating.

POCO F4 Specifications (Expected)

The POCO F4 will likely feature a 6.3-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the front, it may have a 32MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
