Now the wait for the device is over, Google today announced the device although more details are likely to follow later. Google has indicated that the Pixel Watch will arrive in markets this fall, together with the Pixel 7 smartphone.

The raft of rumors relating to the Pixel Watch had remained at a crescendo within the past couple of weeks. Given the quantum of details about the device already available prior to its official announcement, there are no surprises. According to Google, the Pixel Watch deploys Fitbit’s latest algorithms for health and fitness tracking. However, Google says that data privacy will be of the highest level. Google still keeps the price of the Pixel Watch under wraps. It however says that the device will be a premium offering and will be priced competitively. The Pixel Watch is compatible with devices running on Android 8.0 and later and it is not compatible with iPhones.
