Vivo is gearing up to launch the Vivo S15 series in China later this week. However, prior to its release, the company officially teased the smartphone again, this time, showcasing the design of the upcoming device.
Looking at the official teaser image, the Chinese smartphone maker’s S15 series will arrive with an aviation grade aluminum straight edge frame. Furthermore, the teaser also highlights the smartphone’s design in a blue color option. Apart from this, we can also observe that the S15 series will feature a curved display panel on the front. It has a 60° curved edge screen, while the corners are also rounded.
Based on our previous reports, The base S15 model sports a 6.62 inch OLED display that has a Full HD+ resolution. Under the hood, it will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC and could be powered by a 4,580mAh battery pack that supports 80W fast charging. The base model measures 8.54mm in thickness. On the other hand, the S15 Pro also sports a 6.56 inch OLED display that has a Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The device may measures a thinner 7.99mm as well.
The higher end variant apparently also houses a smaller 4,400mAh battery pack that supports 80W fast charging. The Pro variant’s primary rear camera is a 50 megapixel Sony IMX766v sensor that features OIS (optical image stabilization). The new devices are set to be announced on May 19, so stick around as we will be covering the launch event.
