The rear-facing triple camera unit of the Xiaomi 12S will feature a 50-megapixel main camera. The device will be equipped with a new hardware-level algorithm for a better photography experience.

The larger sibling of the same device, which seems to be the Xiaomi 12S Pro, will sport a 2K display. This device may come equipped with some improvements to the display. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset is expected to power the Xiaomi 12S and 12S Pro smartphones.

A recent report suggested that the Xiaomi 12S Pro may arrive in two CPU variants. The first one could be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus mobile platform, whereas the second variant could be driven by the Dimensity 9000 SoC. Hence, it appears that the 12S Pro could be Xiaomi’s first flagship powered by a MediaTek chipset.
