Motorola has quietly unveiled the Moto G52j, a mid-range 5G smartphone. To recall, the handset was recently spotted in Geekbench’s database, and it has now gone official in Japan. One of the major attractions of the G52j is that it is an IP68 rated dustproof and water-resistant device. Other exciting features of the phone include a 120Hz display and a Snapdragon 6-series 5G chipset.

The Moto G52j has a 6.8-inch LCD panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels, a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display punch-hole has a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

The rear camera module of the device has a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel superwide lens with a 118-degree FOV, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The device is capable of shooting up to 60fps 1080p videos and 120fps HD slow-motion videos.

The Snapdragon 695 chipset is present under the hood of the Moto G52j. The device includes 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of built-in storage. It has a 5,000mAh battery that carries support for 15W TurboPower charging.

The device runs on the Android 11 OS with My UX on top. When it comes to connectivity, it offers features like nano-SIM / e-SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, and a USB-C port. It carries support for face unlock and comes equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The Moto G52j is priced at JPY 39,800 (~$310) in Japan. It comes in Ink Black and Pearl White colors. It is unclear whether the Lenovo-owned brand will be releasing the G52j in markets outside Japan.
