OnePlus recently released the stable Android 12 update with OxygenOS 12 for the Nord series. Now the company is rolling out a new update for the OnePlus 9 series. The update carries some multitasking and gaming enhancements. It is version C.60 update and comes packed in 1.5 GB of data, so, do use Wi-Fi if your carrier deal isn’t data-heavy.

The news of the update was first reported by some users on the OnePlus forum. According to the screenshots shared by them, the update brings improvements to the floating window feature and also adds HyperBoost end-to-end frame rate stabilizer. Moreover, it will also reduce gaming loads and power consumption. Notably, the fresh update doesn’t come with the Android security patches for May 2022.

The update is currently available for only a few users. OnePlus will be rolling out the update in a phased manner, so it will be available to all the users in a few weeks.

To recall, the OnePlus 9 was released last year at a starting price of $439. The smartphone came with a Snapdragon 888 SoC and Fluid AMOLED display. Whereas, the OnePlus 9 Pro was launched at a base price of $639 with LTPO Fluid AMOLED display and the same Snapdragon 888 processor.
