OnePlus is yet to officially unveil the Nord 2T but more details about the upcoming device are trickling in. The OnePlus Nord 2T has been the subject of much speculation ahead of its scheduled May 19 announcement. The company has now confirmed that the OnePlus Nord 2T will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1300 chipset.OnePlus

The Dimensity 1300 SoC was unveiled a few weeks back. It is expected that the OnePlus Nord 2T will pip other devices as the first to use the new chipset. The Dimensity 1300 offers some improvements from the Dimensity 1200. Both chips are produced through a 6nm process and the new chip has four Cortex A-78 cores, four A55 cores, with a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. The MediaTek Dimensity 1300 is produced from TSMC foundries.

In the buildup to the official announcement of the Nord 2T, OnePlus releases daily details about the device. We already know that the OnePlus Nord 2T will support 80W SuperVOOC charging for its rumored 4,500mAh battery. OnePlus says that the Nord 2T can be quickly charged within 15 minutes. There are still a couple of big details to be released before the official unveiling of the Nord 2T. There are already rumors and leaks relating to the camera and display of the OnePlus Nord 2T. It is speculated that it will have a 50MP main camera with flagship-grade properties. An 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro, and a 32MP front camera complete the rumored camera setup of the Nord 2T. The OnePlus Nord 2T is also rumored to come with a 6.43-inch FHD+ screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. There are still a few other details still lacking for the Nord 2T including pricing and availability information. These will be available at the May 19 launch event.
