A couple of smartphone OEMs are going to launch Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset powered smartphones in the coming months. New information reveals that Realme may also launch an SD8G1+ flagship. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has spilt some preliminary information about this device.

So far, Realme has launched two GT 2 series of flagship phones, such as the Realme GT 2, featuring the Snapdragon 888 SoC and the Realme GT 2 Pro, which is driven by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Realme may release a flagship phone in the GT 2 series that runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset.

Tipster Digital Chat Station has tentatively called Realme’s upcoming SD8G1+ flagship the Realme GT 2s Pro. He believes that it is the next strongest smartphone from the brand. He added that unlike the positioning of the Realme GT 2 Pro, the GT 2s Pro will not be an all-round upgrade.

Hence, it appears that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ could be the only major upgrade on the Realme GT 2s Pro. The GT 2 and GT 2 Pro carry support for 65W fast charging. It remains to be seen whether the Realme GT 2s Pro arrives with support for 80W fast charging. It will probably borrow most of the specs from the GT 2 Pro.

It has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera and a 50-megapixel (main) + 50-megapixel (ultrawide, 150-degree), and a 3-megapixel microscope camera.
