This news comes from the brand’s official social media account (Weibo) in China. The poster reveals that the Oppo Reno 8 Pro will be featuring the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC that is built on Samsung’s 4nm manufacturing node that promises up to 20 per cent higher GPU performance and up to 30 per cent faster AI processing performance than the previous generation.

However, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 isn’t the only silicon processor under the Oppo Reno 8 Pro as Oppo had earlier teased that the Oppo Reno 8 series will also be featuring the company’s in-house self-developed MariSilicon X ISP imaging chip, which debuted earlier in the year on the Oppo Find X5 Pro.

Oppo claims that the chip can take the camera capabilities of the Reno 8 series to the next level. The chip can optimize pictures, improve system computing power, and enhance lowlight photos. In addition, it will also offer real-time AI computing to improve power efficiency and save the battery on your smartphone.
