Huawei, the Chinese tech giant, is not only known for its smartphones, but also its smart EV automobiles, wireless Internet routers, and laptops as well. Most notably, the company’s Matebook branded lineup is among the most popular laptop lineups in the Asian continent.

The Huawei Matebook 14 2022 ultrabook laptop was earlier launched this week in China with Intel latest 12th Gen Alder Lake CPUs and today the ultrabook officially goes on sale in the country.

The Huawei Matebook 14 2022 is available in both i5 and i7 processor configurations and the first sale pricing for both models are as follows: 

  • Core i5-1240P – 5799 RMB (870 USD)
  • Core i7-1260P – 6699 RMB (1005 USD)

Both models feature Intel Iris XE Integrated Graphics, 16GB of fast LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of PCIe SSD storage onboard. The Huawei Matebook 14 2022 is powered by a 56Wh Lithium-Ion battery with 65W USB-PD fast charging via the USB-C port. The ultrabook is housed within a sturdy aluminium chassis that measures the device to be 15.9 mm thick and weighs in at 1.49kg. The device is available in Moon Silver and Night Grey colour options.

As for the screen, the Huawei MateBook 14 2022 comes with a 14-inch touchscreen IPS LCD display that offers a 2K screen resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels along with a 3:2 aspect ratio, 300 nits brightness, and 1500:1 contrast ratio.

Ports and connectivity wise, the device has Wi-Fi 6 support, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB-C port that supports USB Power Delivery, a HDMI port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The ultrabook also sports a fingerprint sensor for biometric security. 

The Huawei Matebook 14 2022 comes with Windows 11 out of the box and the 65W charger is bundled within the retail packaging.
