Huawei has released the June 2022 update for the Huawei Watch 3 and this brings a new car key function and two new dials. The HarmonyOS 2.1.0.236 update for the Huawei Watch has a file size of 338MB and the new function will support the AITO M5 models. These improvements contribute to a new user experience for the Watch 3.
The car key function seeks to provide a more convenient and smart way of connecting to a smart car. The improvements include animation on the galaxy dial as well as a new pet animation dial. Users who download and install the June 2022 update for the Huawei Watch 3 firmware will also enjoy optimizations in several aspects. System performance, audio, and greater stability come with the new update. The new update is not compatible with iOS devices according to Huawei.
Users of the Huawei Watch 3 can update their devices by first opening the Huawei Health app and checking for updates. They will then follow the prompts to download and install the software update. It has to be noted that the smart car key function currently supports only AITO M5 electric vehicles.
The Wenjie M5 is a culmination of Huawei’s partnership with AITO. It grossed over 5,000 deliveries for the first time last month. The Wenjie M5 currently stands at over 11,000 units delivered, which is quite impressive.
