The second half of 2022 will see the arrival of multiple flagship phones powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. One of them will be the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition. It appears that reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has leaked the key specs of the upcoming Realme flagship.

In a recent Weibo post, the tipster spoke about a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 powered smartphone that will rival Redmi’s upcoming flagship phone, which is said to be the Redmi K50 Ultra. Hence, in all likelihood, the tipster could be talking about the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition.

The tipster revealed that the device will be equipped with an OLED panel with a curved edge design and a centrally positioned punch-hole. The screen will produce an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The rear shell of the device will be fitted with a 50-megapixel main camera. Like the Realme GT Neo 3, the alleged Realme flagship may come in 4,800mAh and 5,000mAh battery variants. The other Weibo post from the tipster suggests that the 4,800mAh battery variant may carry support for 150W fast charging, whereas the 5,000mAh battery model may support 100W rapid charging.

Recently, a Realme phone with an RMX3551 model number was spotted with an SD8+G1 chip at AnTuTu. This device is expected to launch as the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition in China. As far as 100W charging is concerned, a 100W Realme charger with model number VCBAJACH was recently seen at the 3C certification site. It is advisable to wait for further reports to know more about the GT 2 Master Explorer Edition.
