Xiaomi is reportedly working on the launch of the Xiaomi 12S and 12S Pro flagship phones. The 12S series is expected to arrive as an updated version of the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro, which were announced in December 2021 in China. Since the Pro model has been seen at the 3C certification site, it looks like the 12S line will be out soon.

In May, three upcoming Xiaomi flagship phones with model numbers 2203121C, 2206123SC, and 2206122SC were spotted at the CMIIT certification site. These devices are likely to launch in China with marketing names such as Xiaomi 12 Ultra, Xiaomi 12S, and Xiaomi 12S Pro. All three phones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

It is also speculated that the Xiaomi 12S Pro will also have a Dimensity 9000 chipset variant. A Xiaomi phone with model number 2207122MC that was recently spotted in the IMEI database is likely to debut as a Dimensity 9000 SoC version of the 12S Pro.

New information reveals that the Dimensity 9000 powered Xiaomi 12S Pro has received approval from the 3C authority of China. As can be seen in the screenshot above, the 2207122MC device has appeared with a 67W fast charger in 3C’s database. Unfortunately, the listing has no other information on its specifications.

Rumors are rife that the Xiaomi 12S Pro will house a 6.55-inch AMOLED FHD+ display, 64-megapixel triple rear cameras, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. It will come preloaded with the MIUI 13 flavored Android 12 OS. As always, readers are requested to digest the specs leak of this phone with a pinch of salt.
