Since the beginning of this year, the rumor mill has been leaking the design of the upcoming Xiaomi 12 Ultra flagship. Most leaks including GizmoChina’s exclusive have revealed that its back panel will not feature a secondary display. Instead, it will come with a huge circular camera module with multiple cutouts for cameras and sensors. Well-known tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer has teamed up with publication Zouton to leak the CAD renders of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The new images corroborate many of the previous leaks.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra design

Beginning from the front, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra can be seen sporting a punch-hole display with curved edges. The device measures 161.9 x 74.3 x 9.5mm. This means that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is thicker and slightly smaller than last year’s Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, which has a 164.3 x 74.6 x 8.4mm. This indicates that it may not feature the massive 6.81-inch screen, which was made available on the predecessor. The new leak states that it could house a 6.6-inch AMOLED panel.

Moving to the back, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra can be seen sporting a massive camera setup with Leica branding. The camera system has as many as seven camera cutouts. It seems to be equipped with four cameras and three sensors.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra specifications (rumored)

The rear camera module of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra may include a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 48-megapixel periscope zoom camera, and a 16-megapixel portrait lens. It could be equipped with a 16-megapixel or 20-megapixel front camera.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset may power the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. It may come with up to 16 GB of RAM, up to 512 GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging and wireless charging support. Its AMOLED screen may carry support for a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is also expected to come with leather and ceramic builds.
