Earlier today (8th June 2022), ASUS held a shareholders’ meeting. During this conference, the company’s CEO stated that the company is continuing to focus on the mobile esports market as well as premium segment of smartphones. Although, it has yet to make a profit.
Xu Xianyue, the CEO of the Chinese electronics maker, stated that the brand is still focusing on launching high end smartphones for the esports centric market. This statement arrives just prior to the launch of the the new ROG Phone 6, which will be its latest flagship gaming smartphone. Notably, the CEO stated that ASUS is a known figure in the esports industry and its smartphones also have a high market share in the segment.
Talking about the upcoming ROG Phone 6, it will feature top notch specifications like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC as well as high 165Hz refresh rate as well. Over the existing base Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the new chip offers improvements in both CPU and GPU performance. In other words, this handset will basically be one of the most powerful gaming phones in the market.
Despite offering a 10 percent rise in CPU and GPU performance, the new chip would also offer better power efficiency as well. Meaning, one would be able to get better performance and even longer battery life with the upcoming ROG Phone 6. So stick around for more updates regarding this matter.
