Motorola is reportedly working on the Edge 30 Ultra, which may debut as the world’s first phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. The flagship phone is expected to debut first in China before landing in global markets. The Lenovo-owned brand is also said to be working on a next-generation Edge series phone, which is tentatively named as the Motorola Edge (2022). A listing on Geekbench (via) shows that the device will have the latest Dimensity chipset.
The Geekbench listing reveals that the Motorola Edge (2022) is powered by an octa-core chipset that has 2 x CPU cores ticking at 2.50GHz and 6 x CPU cores working at 2.0GHz. It is coupled with Mali-G610 GPU. These findings are a good hint that the Edge (2022) is driven by the Dimensity 1050, which was announced by Motorola last month.

The Geekbench listing further reveals that the device is equipped with 8 GB of RAM and Android 12 OS. It scored 745 points in the single-core test and 2142 points in the multi-core test of Geekbench 5.
Motorola Edge (2022) specifications (Rumored)
Reports have revealed that the Motorola Edge (2022) will be equipped with a 6.5-inch pOLED panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It will come with 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of native storage.

The Edge (2022) will feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera, and a triple camera unit headlined by an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel camera. The main snapper will be assisted by a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel depth camera. It will house a 6,000mAh battery, which will probably have support for fast charging. It is also expected to carry support for stylus.
