The POCO C40 that launched in Vietnam last week has finally made its global debut. The smartphone is being marketed as the cheapest POCO smartphone and comes with a massive battery pack. So without further ado, let’s take a look at its specs and features.

The C40 comes with a curved rear panel which has a big camera island housing a small module that carries two camera sensors. It has a 6.71-inch LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels. The display offers a 60Hz refresh rate and 400 nits peak brightness. It has thick bezels all around and a dew-drop notch for the front camera.

Under the hood, the device has a JLQ JR510 chipset with an Octa-Core processor. The chipset is paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. Coming to one of the main attractions of this device, it features a 6000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

For optics, the smartphone gets a dual-camera setup on the rear consisting of a 13MP rear primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the device has a 5-megapixel selfie snapper.

The C40 operates on Android 11 with MIUI 13 for POCO and has a dual SIM card slot, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, and a USB Type-C port for connectivity. Other features include a dedicated MicroSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, in-built FM radio support, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The device’s body is entirely made of plastic. It measures 169.59 x 76.56 x 9.18mm in dimensions and weighs 204g.

Price and Availability

The POCO C40 comes in Power Black, Coral Green, and POCO Yellow colors. The price of the device is still under wraps, however, it will be revealed as the POCO C40 reaches store shelves, so stay tuned.
