Xiaomi is apparently planning on launching a new series of flagship smartphones soon. This is the Xiaomi 12S series, which will consist of a base and Pro variant. Now, a new leaked has revealed some key specs and storage options for the upcoming devices.

The news arrives from known tipster Mukul Sharma who shared the information on Twitter. According to @stufflistings, the Chinese tech giant will launch the vanilla Xiaomi 12S model in three storage configurations. This will reportedly include an 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and a top end 12GB + 512GB variant. Furthermore, the high end smartphones will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC as well.

Moving to the Pro variant, the Xiaomi 12S Pro will be launched in both a MediaTek Dimensity and Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset versions. Talking about the latter first, it will apparently also come in three storage configurations including an 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and a 12GB + 512GB variant. On the other hand, the Dimensity 9000 powered 12S Pro model will only come with 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB storage options.

Notably, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 powered 12S Pro model could also support an impressive 120W fast charging as well, as per the tipster. Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report, so take this news with a pinch of salt for now.
