Forthcoming Xiaomi devices with model numbers 22081212C (shortened model number L2) and 22081281AC (shortened model number L81AC) have been approved by the CMIIT authority (via). The former could be the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 powered Redmi K50S Pro. Readers can visit this page to learn more about the K50S series. The latter could be a Redmi branded tablet.
Unfortunately, the CMIIT certification hasn’t revealed any information on the specifications of the alleged Redmi Pad 6. The device is likely to be certified by the 3C and TENAA certification sites of China in the coming days. Hence, it appears that the device may debut in the next few months.

Rumors are rife that the company is planning to launch as many as four tablets with shortened model numbers L81, L81A, L82, and L83 this year. According to Xiaomiui’s report from last month, the L81A could be Redmi’s first tablet, which may debut as the Redmi Pad. The codename of this device is Dagu. The CMIIT certified L81AC appears to be its variant.
The L81, L82, and L83 could be Xiaomi Pad 6 series tablets, such as Xiaomi Pad, Pad 6 Pro, and Pad 6 Pro 5G. Readers are advised to digest the marketing names of these devices with a pinch of salt. The Pad 6 models are said to be equipped with MediaTek chipsets.
The Pad 6 lineup may offer features such as a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 120W fast charging. It may run on a newer version of MIUI for tablets. The Pad 6 series may debut in August in China. We hope that in the next few days, new reports will give us more information about the rumored Redmi Pad and Xiaomi Pad 6 series.
