Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is expected to launch in July. It has already been certified by the TENAA telecom authority in China. It has now been approved by the country’s 3C regulatory body (via). These certifications are a good hint that it will debut in the next month.

The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition has an RMX3551 model number. Last month, a new 100W charger with model number VCBAJACH was approved by the 3C authority. The same charger is mentioned in the 3C certification of the GT 2 Master Explorer Edition.

Hence, it can be said that this device will be Realme’s first smartphone to carry support for 100W charging. For the unversed, the Dimensity 8100 powered GT Neo 3, which debuted in China, is the world’s first smartphone to carry support for 150W fast charging.

The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition houses a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It will run on the Realme UI 3.0 flaovred Android 12 OS.

For selfies, it will have a 16-megapixel camera. Its back panel will feature a pair of 50-megapixel cameras and a 2-megapixel lens. It will offer up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The GT Master Explorer Edition was announced with a starting price of 2,999 Yuan (~$447) in China. Hence, it is likely that the successor model may be priced at 3,500 Yuan (~$522).

As far as the launch date is concerned, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station recently claimed that the GT 2 Master Explorer Edition will launch soon after the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Rumors have it that the 12 Ultra will debut in the first week of July.
