On July 13, Samsung will take off the cover from the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro rugged smartphone. Alongside it, the company will be unveiling a rugged tablet called the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro. The rumor mill has already spilt a lot of information about the XCover 6 Pro. Now, reputed tipster, Evan Blass has released a couple of tweets to share the promotional images and the specs sheet of the rugged smartphone.

Starting from the front, the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro will sport a 6.5-inch TFT display that offers a Full HD+ resolution, up to a 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The screen is designed to work with leather gloves thinner than 2mm or less in thickness. As can be seen in the promo images, the XCover 6 Pro has a waterdrop notch display with thick bezels around it. The device measures 168.8 x 79.9 x 9.9mm and weighs around 235 grams.

It will feature a 13-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. Its back panel will have an LED flash assisted dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.

The device is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 778G, which is a 5G-ready chipset. It will come with 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of native storage, and a dedicated microSD card slot. It comes with a user-replaceable 4,050mAh battery. Its charger will be sold separately. In addition, the company will also have a pogo charging dock separately.

The XCover 6 Pro will come with a programmable key on the top and an XCover key. For security, it will offer face unlock support and a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The other features of the XCover 6 Pro include an IP68 rated and MIL-STD-810 grade chassis, Dolby Atmos support, WiFi 6E, 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. There is no information on the price of the device.
