BYD has launched the ATTO 3 SUV in Singapore. As BYD introduces the ATTO 3 , its most powerful mainstream EV to date, the local EV market is continuing to pick up steam in the country.
Since entering the Singaporean market about ten years ago, the company has effectively introduced new EVs, including taxis, tour buses, city buses, trucks, forklifts, and urban commodities logistics vehicles, to the nation. The company will provide cleaner models for the local market as it eventually expands across Southeast Asia.
It’s a strong competitor to vehicles like the MG HS plug-in hybrid and Hyundai Kona Electric. The ATTO 3 is the moniker given to the BYD Yuan Plus in foreign markets. The lowest time unit in physics, the “attosecond,” is the source of inspiration for ATTO. The four key benefits of this new product, which was created for high-performance automobiles, are beauty, intelligence, efficiency, and safety.
The new model follows BYD’s Dragon Face 3.0 design language with a sporty-themed interior design that is specifically created for youthful clients, under the direction of BYD’s lead designer Wolfgang Egger. The new vehicle is 4455/1875/1615mm in size and has a wheelbase of 2720mm. The car has a basic 150kW motor that allows it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. The EV has a range of 480 KMs on a single charge.
BYD has sold approximately 600,000 new energy passenger cars, according to Liu Xueliang, general manager of the Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division.
