The Honor X40i measures 7.43mm in thickness and weighs 175 grams. It has a flat-edge design and houses a 6.7-inch LTPS LCD punch-hole display that supports a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2388 pixels. The screen-to-body ratio of the device is 93.6 percent.
The X40i is powered by the Dimensity 700 chipset, 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM, and up to 5 GB of virtual RAM. The device offers 128 GB / 256 GB of storage. The phone packs a 4,000mAh battery that supports 40W fast charging.
