In March 2022, Honor unveiled the Honor X8 4G smartphone. Now, the brand is back with its 5G sibling, called the Honor X8 5G. While both smartphones sport a very similar design, the 5G edition is packed with inferior specs as compared to its 4G version. Honor X8 5G specifications and features
The Honor X8 5G is equipped with a 6.5-inch LCD panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The display notch houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Its back panel has a triple camera unit, which features a 48-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel macro snapper, and a 2-megapixel depth-sensing unit.
The Snapdragon 480 Plus chipset powers the Honor X8 5G. The SoC is accompanied by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of built-in storage. It will come preloaded with the Android 11 OS and Magic UI 4.2. It draws power from a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 22.5W rapid charging.
The Honor X8 5G has a side-facing fingerprint scanner. It comes with the usual connectivity options, such as dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
In comparison, the Honor X8 4G has a bigger 6.7-inch LCD FHD+ 90Hz display, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a 64-megapixel (main) + 5-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. It is powered by the Snapdragon 680 chipset, 6 GB of RAM, and a 4,000mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging. It boots to the Android 11 OS with Magic UI 4.2 on top.

Honor has not confirmed the price of the Honor X8 5G. It will be available soon in Midnight Black and Ocean Blue colours.
