In the latest Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman has said that the high-end Apple Watch launching later this year will come with bigger screen size, and it will not be suitable for everyone, and only a subset of customers will be comfortable with it. The device is said to have around a seven percent larger screen compared to the Watch Series 7 models.

As for the redesign, he says that the design of the new smartwatch isn’t circular in shape nor squared-off. It is expected to come with a design that Mark Gurman describes as an evolution of the current rectangular shape.

To make the wearable rugged, the company has reportedly opted for a more durable formulation of titanium for the body. Along with some advanced features related to health and fitness, the device is expected to feature longer battery life that could last multiple days on a single charge using a new Low Power Mode.

The Apple Watch Series 8 and the new rugged Apple Watch Pro are expected to go official later this year, along with the new Apple iPhone 14 series. This means that we still have a couple of months to get more details about the upcoming smartwatches from Apple.
