Back in September 2021, Apple had announced its latest 9th generation of iPad. Now, the company is preparing to release its next gen iPads later this year. But prior to any official announcement, the CAD renders of the iPad 2022 has been spotted, revealing its design.

The CAD renders were exclusively shared by MySmartPrice. These images offers us a first look at the 10th generation of iPad and its design in its full glory. Previously, we had covered reports regarding the tablet finally switching to the USB Type C standard for charging and data transfer but these CAD renders do not confirm this feature. Looking at these images, we can also tell that the next gen model will be similar to the 9th gen iPads in terms of design, with the front camera on top and Touch ID on the bottom of the display.

Furthermore, the screen panel is also flanked by noticeable bezels on all four sides. On the rear, the renders depict a lone rear camera sensor like its predecessor. However, unlike the 9th gen iPads, the upcoming version will have a small oval shaped camera module, similar in design to the iPhone X series. This houses the single camera as well as an LED flash module. Apart from this, the one notable aspect on the back is the Cupertino based giant’s brand logo.

On the bottom of the device, we can see the speaker grilles, which are a part of the quad speaker setup, with the other two speakers being housed on the the top. We can see its charging port, but its covered in red, so it is unclear whether it is a Type C port or the Apple Lightning port. Based on what we know so far, the 10th gen iPad will be powered by the A14 chipset that was featured on the iPhone 12 series and could sport a larger 10.5 inch or 10.9 inch Retina display. This is all the information we have at the moment, so stick around for more updates.
